Strategic Alliances and Corporate Partnering (CTGE 443S)

Business is about relationships. Knowing who to partner with for different both revenue and product extension are key. This course will explore strategic partnerships for e-commerce. Case examples of good and bad partnerships will be explored. Topics include:
  • Determine who to partner with
  • Demonstrate how to set up partnerships
  • Local, Regional, Global and Tactical partnerships
  • ( Straw Proposal ) Putting together an alliance and partnership contractual agreement
  • Growing the Business. ( Finding and developing your customer base)
  • Determining  the success of partnerships and alliances  through Measuring tools

Activities:  Project: each student to personalize the E- Commerce  Business Development class by choosing an alliance, partnership or marketing objective that is of value to them and have Don Davis walk them through the step by step process.

Reading Materials: Will review 6 Contracts from major corp. partnerships and alliances.
