Alan Naumann

Alan Naumann, president and CEO for Calico Commerce, orchestrates his company to provide eBusiness applications that enable mid-to-large enterprises and Net Markets to deliver unique value to their customers and superior financial results for their shareholders by selling over the Internet. Calico products are based on open standards and designed to meet the needs of companies selling direct over the Web, through existing channels and in Net marketplaces.

Phil Levinson

Philip Levinson is VP of Business Development for Speedera Networks, a network infrastructure company that provides services for accelerating the Internet. Prior to joining Speedera, Philip served as President of Camdens, the B2B e-commerce company he founded in 1998. Previously, Philip was founder and VP of Business Development for CatchTV, a venture-backed company that was later acquired by ACTV (NASD IATV). Philip was the first advisory board member of eBay and also serves as an advisor to Replay Networks and ClickAction (NASD CLAC). He currently serves as Chairman of Camdens.

Mohit Mehrotra is the Vice President of Emerging Technologies for Corporate Services Interactive at American Express. Mohit is responsible for American Express’ business-to-business portal strategy, including creating and spinning off new business opportunities. In addition, he oversees product development of all wireless applications and smart cards for Corporate Services Interactive.

Tem Dempsey

Tim Dempsey is Chief Marketing Officer at Bowstreet which he joined in November 1999 after 12 years at Lotus/IBM. Most recently, Tim was vice president of worldwide business partner programs at Lotus/IBM, managing a staff of 100 and supporting more than 20,000 partner firms. Before that he launched WebSphere, IBM’s high-volume Web application server, and helped develop and implement IBM’s corporate e-business marketing campaign. As senior director of Notes & Domino product marketing, he led the re-branding of the Notes server as Domino and launched Notes releases 4.0 and 4.5. The Notes customer base grew from less than one million to more than 20 million installed seats during his tenure.

Andrew Krainin is senior vice president of marketing for Sameday.com. Prior to joining Sameday.com, Krainin served as senior manager for The Boston Consulting Group. His experience varies from strategic planning to new product planning and organizational change. Krainin also spent two years with Booz, Allen and Hamilton, providing clients with strategic and operational expertise.

Atul Vashistha is neoIT’s Co-Founder and Team Leader. neoIT is the leading global online marketplace for outsourcing IT services. He was most recently Senior Vice President, International at Cardinal Health, Inc., a Fortune 100 company. Formerly, he served as Vice President, Business Development at Rural/Metro and held responsibility for marketing, sales and business development. Prior to that role he was a Regional President and managed multiple divisions for the company He also currently serves on the Board of Advisors at Arizona State University for the Center of Services Marketing and Management.

Bob Payne

Bob Payne, President & CEO at Saqqara has more than 25 years of experience in managing high tech companies that are early in the technology life cycle. Most recently Bob has served in consulting roles to start up ventures as acting CEO, COO and Board Member and doing due diligence consulting for a major venture capital firm. He was the CEO of Calico Technology, an early e-commerce company, during 1996 and 1997 and grew the company from $2 million in revenue to $14 million. Prior to joining Calico, Bob served as VP and GM for Application Products at Platinum Technology (Trinzic Corp. acquisition). He has also held senior sales and marketing positions at Pansophic Systems Inc., FNBC, and IBM. Bob has a BBA in Marketing from Iona College and an MBA from Baruch College, CUNY.

Christopher Rouse Christopher Rouse is VP of Marketing at Delano Technology Corporation, where he is responsible for all aspects of marketing communications, including public relations, lead generation and management, event management, and product collateral. Mr. Rouse brings to Delano more than 10 years of communications and marketing experience, including serving as Vice President of Marketing for InfoCast Corporation, Director of Field Marketing for Hummingbird Communications, and Marketing Manager for Andyne Computing. Mr. Rouse has published articles worldwide in Data Management Review, Enterprise Middleware, Insight, and Sybase Server Journal UK.

Marty Gruhn is Vice President and Service Director for Summit Strategies. She has an extensive background in developing high-technology business, marketing and distribution strategies. With more than 25 years of industry experience, Marty is highly respected for her thorough understanding of Internet trends, and the way the Internet links to company business models. Her focus on the disruptive technologies and discontinuous changes of the computing industry lead to perceptive analyses that help corporate leaders strategically position themselves in the shifting competitive landscape.

Jorden Woods is the CEO and founder of Global Sight Corporation, the leading provider of Web globalization solutions.  Global Sight's global e-business technology and strategy help enterprises manage their Web presence in the languages and cultures of worldwide markets.   Recognized as a leading authority on Web site globalization and global e-commerce, Jorden is a frequent speaker at Internet World, IQPC, the distinguished CTI Roundtable and other conferences.

Brad Husick, VP of Standards and Evangelism for Vignette Corporation (NASDAQ: VIGN), focuses on Vignette's continued leadership role in industry standards, including syndicated business networks through the Information and Content Exchange (ICE) initiative. Prior to Vignette, Brad was a co-founder of NetGravity. Prior to NetGravity, Brad was vice president of marketing for interactive design firm Clement Mok Designs. Brad's past positions also include product management at Macromedia and Hewlett-Packard.

Anita Ward

Anita Ward, Managing Partner, is responsible for ZEFER's Midwest region. In this role, Anita and her teams work with clients to understand their strategic needs and deliver solutions that integrate business, design, and technology components. Anita has been featured for her visionary work and as an innovator and leader in various publications. Anita has taught numerous executive education and transformation seminars on cultural change.

Heidi Messer is President and co-founder of LinkShare. She is responsible for the day-to-day non-technology business operations of LinkShare. Prior to joining LinkShare, Ms. Messer was an associate at the law firm of Baker and Botts, L.L.P. Ms. Messer focused on the telecommunications, information and entertainment industries, representing clients such as Tele-Communications, Inc. (TCI) and Flextech plc in a variety of negotiations. An acknowledged authority on regulation and constitutional law in the information age, she has presented to Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer.

3:45-4:45 Net Results: Web Marketing That Works

Bob Heyman, CEO of e-marketingpartners.com, co-founded Cybernautics, a leading Internet marketing and design firm that merged with USWeb in 1997. He is credited with inventing the field of Audience Development and with having coined the term "edutainment" while producing films for the National Geographic Society. Prior to this, Bob was an entertainment and IP attorney.

Leland Harden is the Executive Vice President of Business Development and Strategy. Mr. Harden is a recognized authority on Internet Audience Development. He was a founder of Cybernautics (merged with U.S. Web in 1997), where he was a Senior Partner in U.S. Web's Audience Development practice. He is the co-author of "NET RESULTS: Web Marketing That Works." Mr. Harden also appears regularly as an Internet business development and marketing expert on the television program "Money Machine" on the ZDTV Network and as a conference speaker at Comdex, Software Marketing Camp, Software Marketing Perspectives and Ad Tech.

Robert Cross is President of Venture Capital Online. Prior to joining vcapital.com last year, Bob was president and CEO of Nanophase Technologies Corporation (NASDAQ: NANX), a new-to-market advanced materials company. For the 20 years prior, he was primarily chief executive or interim management of developmental information-technology companies, including Control Video Corporation (predecessor to America Online), and Electronic Data Systems Corporation (EDS).

Mark Goldstein is President and CEO of BlueLight.com this being his fourth Internet start-up. Most recently, Mark served as Vice President at Inktomi Corporation (NASDAQ: INKT. Mark was the founder and CEO of The Impulse! Buy Network and built it into the recognized leader in merchandising systems for Internet portal commerce. Mark was also founder and CEO of Reality Online, a leading provider of financial and technology services for individual investors. In addition, he founded NetAngels, an early developer of Internet profiling and targeting tools

Ashutosh Roy

Ashutosh Roy, eGain's co-founder, Chairman and CEO, has spent 12 years in various technical management and entrepreneurial positions developing, marketing and selling software and Internet services. He was the co-founder and Chairman of WhoWhere? Inc., a leading Internet services company acquired by Lycos in 1998. Prior to that, Ashu spent four years at Digital Equipment Corp. He also worked as a product manager in the Interactive TV group at Microsoft Corporation. Ashu also co-founded Parsec Technologies Pvt. Ltd., an international call center company based in India. He shares patents in the field of high performance CAD-VLSI design.

Nikhil Behl is director of sales and merchandising at hpshopping.com, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hewlett-Packard Company and HP’s award-winning direct-to-consumer electronic commerce store. Behl joined hpshopping.com in 1998 as director of business development and the computing category. Currently Behl is responsible for all aspects of sales and merchandising including revenue and profit goals, product mix, positioning, pricing, promotions/ incentives, and life-cycle management.

Christopher Logan is chief executive officer of Driveway, Mr. Logan oversees strategic planning and overall operations. He also serves on the board of directors and acts as Driveway's spokesperson. Prior to Driveway, Logan was founder and CEO of Fabrik Communications, an e-mail outsourcing services provider serving nearly 1,000 corporate customers. An Internet industry veteran, he brings six years of experience in the emerging fields of digital marketing and e-mail outsourcing to Driveway. Previously, Logan served as vice president of operations and development for Trade Reporting and Data Exchange.

Robert Locascio

Robert LoCascio is President and CEO of LivePerson, Inc. LivePerson is a leading ASP of technology that facilitates real-time sales and customer service for companies doing business on the Internet. Prior to LivePerson, LoCascio was the founder and CEO of IKON. IKON developed a series of public kiosks for college campuses that integrated interactive video features with advertising and commerce capabilities.

Panita Pandey Punita Pandey is CEO and Founder of netCustomer. She brings extensive experience in software development, management consulting, and Internet startups. Punita has developed electronic Customer Relationship Management (eCRM) strategies and implemented leading-edge call centers for major corporations in the United States. Prior to founding netCustomer, Punita worked at Healtheon, Deloitte Consulting, Tandem Computers, and McDonnell Douglas. She has also served as adjunct faculty at California State University, Monterey Bay.

Peter Ostrow is a seasoned Internet executive with a strong background in management and the media industry. Mr. Ostrow, President and CEO, TestMart, a San Bruno based business-to-business e-commerce company specializing in the development of on-line commerce and community for technical equipment marketplaces. Prior to his current position, Mr. Ostrow was a senior executive at venture investment-backed Narrowline. Mr. Ostrow held various positions at The New York Times including the Managing Director of The New York Times Magazine.

Mustafa Syed, VP Technology at VerticalNet is a leading visionary in the area of web-based applications and services deployment. He gained dynamic web applications design and development experience first with CommerceNet and Oracle Corporation and then as a founder of Isadra, Inc. and OneVC.com. As VP Technology, he has been instrumental in defining the business and technology strategies for the company and guiding the development and deployment of a new breed of NetMarket technologies and applications.

Peter Daley is the Founder, VP of Strategic Alliances and Planning for BuildPoint Corp. Previously Peter was an investment banker with Credit Suisse First Boston technology group in Palo Alto, Calif. Previously, Peter worked as an investment banker in Smith Barney's Home Building and Building Products Group in New York and as a software engineer at Financial Software Systems in Philadelphia. He holds degrees in finance and electrical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania where he graduated from the Management & Technology Program and was designated both a Benjamin Franklin Scholar and a Joseph Wharton Scholar.
Richard Boyle, VP Engineering, Loopnet has over thirteen years experience in product and technology development and management.  At LoopNet he is responsible for research and development of new Internet-based commercial real estate services as well as management of technology and system architecture. Boyle previously held software-engineering positions at 4th Connection Software and he also consulted on large IT projects during a position at Andersen Consulting. Boyle holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University.

12:15-1:00: Leading the Business Transformation

Scott Dietzen is the CTO of the BEA E-Commerce Server Division, Dr. Dietzen is the technical strategist for all BEA E-Commerce Server products including the market leading BEA WebLogic Server, BEA WebLogic Enterprise and Tuxedo products.  Dr. Dietzen drives the high-level relationships with BEA’s high-level partners, OEMs and blue-chip customers. Prior to his current role, Dr. Dietzen was Chief Technology Officer for the BEA WebXpress division. Before BEA's acquisition of WebLogic, Dietzen was WebLogic's Vice President of Marketing and Product Management---acting as the lead business and technology spokesperson for the company.

James Roche

James Roche is Co-President and CEO of Fort Point Partners  is responsible for the overall direction. He co-founded the company in 1996 with his brother Matthew because he felt that Global 1000 businesses did not understand how to use technology to create revenue. James gained his experience through the time he spent creating Webfactory, an Internet-focused systems integrator. He also spent several years at Silicon Graphics and KPMG Peat Marwick. A featured speaker at conferences and symposiums, James is also often quoted in magazines such as Business 2.0, CRN, Sm@rt Partner, and VAR Business.

Thomas Burke is the director of the ePlans division which assists emerging e-business ventures in communicating their visions by authoring and enhancing business plans.  He has sixteen years of executive, managerial, and consulting experience with both large and small firms in the information technology, wholesale manufacturing and distribution and financial services industries.  Prior to signing on at eBuilt, he was co-founder and CFO of Orbisys, Inc., an information technology services firm based in San Diego.

3:15-4:00 Are you Pretty Up Front and Ugly in the Back?

Ken Campbell is President and CEO of Centegy. Mr. Campbell was a co-founder and EVP of USWeb. Mr. Campbell has over 25 years of experience in technology, marketing, sales, and operations. He was employee #11 at Businessland where he headed up store expansions into 48 cities. Mr. Campbell co-founded US Telecenters (now ViewTech); served as COO of Copymat Corporation; and was the General Manager if North America for Inmac Corporation, a global direct marketer of computer products. Mr. Campbell is currently serving on the Board of Directors for R. H. Donnelley Corporation.

1:15-2:00 What should your company do to prepare for M-Commerce?

Michael Merrill, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, ePhones. Building a foundation in cellular and paging, he led the company's diversification into wireless data, launching Totally Wireless in 1993. In 1999, he reinvented the company, changing the name to ePhones and developing a new Internet model to leverage the company's wireless experience. Prior to founding ePhones, Mr. Merrill served as a Captain in the Field Artillery and a U.S. Army Ranger.

Steve Kruse, Chief Evangelist at Baltimore Technologies, is an internationally known expert and worldwide lecturer on the topic of information security. Kruse promotes Baltimore Technologies in seminars and creates educational material for customers and partners. Kruse is a member of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) and the International Computer Security Association (ICSA). Kruse has a B.S. in Information Systems Management from the University of San Francisco and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).

Mark Kincaid, Vice-President,Network Engineering, came to StorageNetworks in 1999 as Vice-President of Operations and Infrastructure. Prior to that, he was Marketing Manager for System Integration at CLARiiON, Vice-President of System Engineering at Andataco, and Senior Technical Specialist for Memorex.

Neil Gardner

Neil Gardner is Vice President of Technical Operations at NaviSite. He is responsible for managing Navisite's technical resources that deliver services to Web hosting customers through the company's multiple data centers. He has expertise in e-commerce, Web servers, security technologies, clustering solutions, disaster recovery processes, OLTP, and other database applications, including Oracle, Sybase and Informix.  Most recently, Gardner was vice president of operational support at Fidelity Investments.
